Priestley’s farcical comedy, set in Yorkshire in 1908, tells of three eminently respectable couples whose lives are rocked by a scandalous revelation.

Married on the same day, in the same chapel and by the same cleric, these pillars of the community have joined together to celebrate their Silver Wedding Anniversaries. However, the happy celebrations are brought to a sudden standstill with the shocking discovery that due to a legal glitch they are not quite as respectably married as they thought they were!

As the couples try to keep the lid on their embarrassing secret, home truths explode and mayhem erupts. Laughs and surprises abound in Priestley’s sparkling, classic comedy.
